McKee Law knows that it is not enough to simply do great legal work. To be a truly excellent law firm you have to give back to the community, plain and simple. McKee Law sponsors countless sports teams, programs and community events. McKee Law puts its money where its mouth is and gives thousands of dollars each year to help where it is needed.
But while giving money is a great way to support the many great causes that need help, the attorneys at McKee Law also walk the walk. Our attorneys have been and continue serve, year in and year out, on the boards and as volunteers for countless nonprofit organizations throughout Maine. We know that our experience as attorneys can make a difference to charitable groups and the time we give as either board members or regular volunteers makes our community a better place.
Coaching youth sports provides an opportunity for us to connect with the next generation. Youth soccer, softball, and local track teams have all benefited from our attorneys’ hours upon hours of instruction and engagement with elementary, middle, and high school athletes in our local area.
Military service is important to Mr. McKee. He served eight years as a JAG Officer in the Maine Army National Guard, including stints with the 240th Engineering Group and the State Area Command.
Volunteering our time in citizen government is also something we all value. Mr. Morgan served on the Portland and Brunswick Boards of Zoning Appeals and the Board of the Kennebec Valley Community Action Program, a non-profit organization that has provided services to low income Kennebec County residents for over 40 years. Mr. McKee is also the past Chair of the Maine Ethics Commission.
So while we are a law firm for our clients first, we have not forgotten that we have an obligation to our community as well. And one and all we will keep this commitment.
